A Penny For Your Thoughts (#33)

Prompt: Are you a New Year resolutioner? If so, do your reading choices tend to reflect the thing you'd like to improve in your life?

I've never considered myself much of a New Year resolution maker. Once when I was about 21 I made the cliche choice of "I'm going to work out more". I actually followed through with that and got into a lot healthier habits since. I have the mentality to want to improve myself in different ways many times throughout the year. Whether I follow through on each of those goals is hit or miss, but I've never been one to specifically make New Year goals. This year is a little different. I have a lot of positive changes going on in my life that just so happen to take place around the start of the new year, and I also have a lot more time to get back into the hobbies I love.

In the past couple of weeks I've found myself reading more books related to these hobbies and really getting myself revved up for the start of the year -- both fiction and non-fiction on these topics. I don't normally read a lot of non-fiction so that has been a new one for me. And while my fiction reading does tend to have themes at different parts of the year, I've gone with more adventure tones and adventuring classics which I haven't gotten into in the past. Jack London's work is one that is on that list. Can you guess what I'd like to do more of this coming year??
